The Principal acts as a growth engine for the firm – identifying new opportunities, opening executive doors, and converting prospects into long-term client partnerships. What You/ll DoHunting & GrowthLead origination of new business across CPG, agrifuel, and crop inputs, targeting senior executives and decision makers Build and own a robust pipeline of opportunities, driving them from prospecting through close with measurable revenue impacts Craft compelling value propositions and tailor solutions that resonate with client needs and industry trends Negotiate complex commercial agreements that balance client objectives with firm profitability and long-term growthThought Leadership & SolutioningServe as a trusted strategic advisor to C-level executives on data, AI, and managed services Diagnose client challenges and support the design of holistic solutions that integrate consulting, data platforms, and managed services Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and forums and provide thought leadership on emerging digital capabilities, regulatory shifts and market dynamicsImpact & AccountabilityOwn and exceed business development and revenue targets, with accountability for both topline growth and margin health Translate client engagements into long-term managed services opportunities, anchoring recurring revenue streamsWhat Were Looking ForConsulting pedigree : 8-12+ years of experience, ideally from a top-tier management consulting firm, with a track record in client development and delivery Hunting mindset : Proven ability to open new doors, drive deal flow, and convert opportunities into long-term relationships Industry expertise : Knowledge of CPG, agrifuel, and crop inputs, or adjacent sectors, with a strong grasp of digital and data-enabled solutions Commercial acumen : Skilled in structuring and negotiating complex solutions with senior stakeholders Leadership presence : Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and executive-level influencing skills Entrepreneurial drive : Thrives in a growth environment; adaptable, resilient, and motivated by building something new Why choose Life at the Edge?Join the best digital builders in agriculture!
