The Role:Gametime is seeking a strategic and technically hands-onDirector of Analytics Engineeringto lead the vision, design, and implementation of amodern, AI-ready data infrastructure . You will be responsible for establishing arobust Analytics Data Layer (ADL) , enablingreal-time insights , and ensuringdata governance and self-service accessibilityacross technical, non-technical, and agentic user personas. This role sits at the intersection ofdata engineering, analytics, platform strategy, and AI enablement , and will play a pivotal role in positioning Gametime to extract scalable business value from data at speed. Key ResponsibilitiesData Architecture & StrategyCollaborate with the Data Platform Team to implement anend-to-end design of a real-time, AI-ready architecturewith modularity, scalability, and speed in mind. Define and operationalize abest-in-class Analytics Data Layer (ADL)that integrates across marketing, product, finance, and customer experience datasets. Implement ahigh fidelity architectureusing tools like dbt, Sigma, and Snowflake to ensure high-frequency and low-latency data availability. Data Governance & ModelingOwn and drive thegovernance frameworkacross all modeled data assets, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and security across the stack. Codifystandards for testing, documentation, and accessusing dbt and CI/CD pipelines to build a trusted foundation. Enablement & ToolingArchitect systems that supportself-service analyticsacross diverse personas — including analysts, operators, product managers, and AI agents. Partner with analytics, product, and ML teams to providestructured and reusable data products . Leveragevisualization tools(e.g., Sigma, Looker, Tableau) to expose curated metrics and diagnostics via intuitive dashboards. Leadership & CollaborationLead and grow a team of analytics engineers and data modelers; act as amultiplier across the orgby documenting, mentoring, and sharing best practices. Collaborate closely with cross-functional leaders in ML Engineering, Backend, Analytics, and Finance to align data strategy with business goals. What You BringRequired8+ years in analytics/data engineering roles, with at least 3+ in a technical leadership capacity. Deep expertise indbt ,SQL ,cloud data warehouses(Snowflake preferred), andmodern data stack practices . Familiarity withdata visualization platforms(e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Power BI). A strong belief indata enablement and decentralization— paired with a disciplined approach to governance and standardization. Nice to HaveExperience architectingreal-time or near-real-time data systems . Experience with stream processing frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming). Prior success in scaling self-service analytics or embedded data tooling. Exposure to ML or AI workflows and how data pipelines serve model training and inference. Individual pay within that range can vary for several reasons including skills/capabilities, experience, and available budget.
