Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from pre-construction planning through to completion. This role requires a strategic leader capable of managing budgets, timelines, and resources effectively while maintaining strong client relationships. Responsibilities + Manage the pre-construction, pre-planning, and construction project scheduling process. + Review and approve project budgets, including labor, material, and subcontractors, to allocate resources effectively. + Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors to secure beneficial agreements. + Oversee project finances, focusing on profitability and cash flow management. + Ensure project cost aligns with initial job bid proposals and manage change orders as necessary. + Collaborate with engineers and architects to resolve design conflicts and determine project specifications. + Lead strategic planning and manage project submittals, requests for information, and change order processes. + Implement monthly cost reports and accurate cost projections. + Research and suggest construction means, methods, and timelines. + Approve payment for suppliers and subcontractor invoices. + Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and address any issues promptly. + Maintain and develop client relationships and pursue upcoming work opportunities. + Identify and manage CAD, fabrication, and field labor resources. + Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Essential Skills + Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. + Dependability and availability in a fast-paced construction office environment. + Organizational skills for managing work orders and personnel documents. + Proficiency in Microsoft Projects, Office, Excel, and Word. + Experience with AutoBid, P6 Scheduler, and Bluebeam is preferred. + Mechanical knowledge and project management expertise. + Ability to train estimating staff on technical aspects of project management. + Understanding of company resource production capabilities. + Ability to professionally solicit vendors and suppliers during procurement. + Capacity to prepare a SWOT analysis for projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or 10+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. + 5 years of experience in the construction field, leading projects up to $15 million in scope. + Life Science/Pharma project experience required. Work Environment The work environment is a dynamic and fast-paced construction office setting. The role involves direct responsibility for subcontractors, indirect responsibility for field personnel, and internal support services. The position requires strong leadership skills to manage diverse teams effectively. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Conyers, Georgia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.89 - $72.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
