This position will be available at Wilmington, DE and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.The Vice President of Tax, is a strategic leader responsible for Chemours’ global tax strategy, compliance, and planning. This role ensures the company remains compliant with all tax regulations, optimizes its tax position, and supports sustainable business growth. The VP of Tax is a critical member of the Finance Leadership Team (FLT) who provides expert guidance on tax matters and drive value for Chemours.**Key Responsibilities:*** Develop and execute Chemours’ global tax strategy in alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements.* Lead internal and external teams to ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax compliance for federal, state, local, and international jurisdictions.* Manage relationships with external advisors, government agencies, and auditors.* Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impacts on the company, proactively recommending actions.* Provide strategic tax advice to the Chemours Executive Team (CET), Board of Directors and the related Committees.* Lead, mentor, and develop the Tax team, fostering a culture of collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.* Ensure robust internal controls over tax processes and reporting.* Drive automation and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy* Oversee tax planning initiatives, including mergers & acquisitions, restructurings, and cross-border activities.* Develop and manage the tax department budget.**Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred.* Extensive experience (15+ years) in tax leadership roles, ideally within a multinational corporation or Big Four public accounting firm.* Deep knowledge of US and international tax laws, regulations, and best practices.* Demonstrated success in tax planning, compliance, and audit management.* Exceptional strategic thinking, leadership, and communication skills.* Proven ability to work effectively with senior executives and cross-functional teams.* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.* Experience with tax technology and ERP systems is a plus.**Benefits:*** Competitive Compensation* Comprehensive Benefits Packages* 401(k) Match* Employee Stock Purchase Program* Tuition Reimbursement* Commuter Benefits* Learning and Development Opportunities* Strong Inclusion and Diversity Initiatives* Company-paid Volunteer DayWe’re a different kind of chemistry company because we see our people as our biggest assets.
