Position Summary:UPS Industrial Services is seeking an experiencedAnalyzer Technicianto support calibration, commissioning, start-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced process analyzers. This position plays a critical role in ensuring reliable, safe, and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Gas Chromatography, Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS), O₂, Density, Area Monitors, Conductivity, pH systems, and sample system requirements. This role requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to deliver high-quality results in a demanding industrial environment.Essential Functions: Calibrate, commission, start-up, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide range of analyzers including Gas Chromatography, CEMS, O₂, Density, Area Monitors, Conductivity, pH systems, and sample systems. Develop and validate analyzer equipment, repair job scopes, procedures, and execution plans. Identify and initiate modifications to improve equipment reliability, accuracy, and safety. Ensure strict compliance with all applicable Safety Standards, company policies, and procedures. Conduct Job Loss Analysis for each job to mitigate risks and improve outcomes. Serve as Permit Receiver, ensuring permits are properly obtained and adhered to. Enter detailed equipment repair history into the system and close out Work Orders accurately. Update repair procedures, technical data, and equipment records to reflect current conditions. Validate and refine equipment repair procedures or work specifications as needed. Maintain accurate spare parts records and ensure repaired parts are returned to stores. Work closely with operations, engineering, and safety teams to ensure analyzer systems meet performance standards. Provide input on modifications or upgrades to enhance system reliability and safety. Maintain excellent housekeeping practices in all work areas to support a safe and efficient work environment.Qualifications and Experience: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required (Technical degree or trade school preferred). Electrical Technology certification or Instrument Technology Certification preferred. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in analyzer maintenance, calibration, commissioning, and troubleshooting in an industrial, petrochemical, or refinery environment. Proficiency with Gas Chromatography, CEMS, O₂, Density, Area Monitors, Conductivity, pH systems, and sample system maintenance. Strong understanding of safety regulations, standards, and permit-to-work systems. Ability to develop and follow technical repair scopes and execution plans. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.Required Skills: Expertise in troubleshooting and repairing industrial instrumentation and electrical equipment. Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and best practices in the petrochemical industry. Strong computer skills for entering repair history and maintaining technical records. Knowledge of spare parts management and equipment reliability practices.Working Conditions Environment:Industrial/plant setting with exposure to varying weather conditions. Physical Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, and perform hands-on maintenance activities for extended periods. Must meet physical requirements of the job, including lifting and climbing as needed.
