Pave Talent, hiring on behalf of our client, is seeking aBiomedical Equipment Support Engineer – Night Shift (11PM to 7AM Mon to Fri)for a dedicated site in Burlington, NC. As the overnight engineer, you’ll keep equipment running, solve technical issues under pressure, and directly support lab staff. Success means high uptime, satisfied clients, and smooth operations during a major growth phase.Key ResponsibilitiesPerformpreventive maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and electrical safety testingon biomedical automation systems Document service activitiesto meet compliance/manufacturer standards Train and support lab operatorson safe and effective equipment use Serve as theprimary on-site technical contact, managing issues with professionalism Support installations and transition projects during site expansion Participate in on-call coverage every 4th weekend (overtime eligible)Required Qualifications2–3 years ofhands-on technical service experience(FSE, biomedical tech, or electromechanical technician) Associate degree inBiomedical, Industrial, Electrical, or Mechanical EngineeringOR equivalent training/experience Strong troubleshooting skills withpreventive maintenance and calibrationexperience Excellentcommunication and customer serviceability Willingness to worknight shift (11PM–7AM, Mon–Fri) + rotating on-call weekendsPreferred QualificationsExperience withlab automation or microbiology equipment Familiarity withbasic networking and system connectivity Comfort working in regulated environments requiring PPEBenefits & Value Proposition$37–$39/hr +$2,500 sign-on bonus(after 90-day probation) 3–5% discretionary performance bonus eligibility beginning 2026 Free employee health insurance, competitive family premiums, and 401(k) with 6% match PTO: 1 week accrued + 1 week supplemental upfront + 5 sick days Career progression as the site expands, with advancement from Support Engineer to higher FSE levelsCulture Expect afast-paced, mission-critical environmentwhere engineers “wear many hats,” developing skills across electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
