Job OverviewOn February 28, 2026, Village of Wisdom will hostBlack Genius ™ Fest— a one-day, city-wide celebration transforming Durham’s historic Black Wall Street into a vibrant landscape ofmusic, food, performance, and immersive exhibits. The festival will span bothindoor venues and outdoor public spaces, offering families of all ages 18 community-designed exhibits and six immersiveBlack Genius Worlds.TheBG Fest Fabricatorwill play a pivotal role in bringing bold community visions to life. From immersive environments to interactive installations, the Fabricator will transform designs into striking,multi-sensory experiencesthat embody the spirit of Black Genius™ and align with the festival ***** “Architects of Our Dreams — Past, Present, Future.”Working closely with theBG Fest Designer, Exhibit Curator/Manager, and selected Exhibitors, the Fabricator will ensure all installations aresafe, functional, mobile, durable, and accessiblefor a family-friendly addition to fabricating community-designed exhibits, the Fabricator will also buildtreatments for three of the six Black Genius™ Worlds.
