Company DescriptionFor over twenty years, the Posen Library of Jewish Culture and Civilization has been producing print and digital collections of primary sources, including images and excerpts from texts translated from over twenty languages. Curated by experts, these sources represent a variety of voices from Jewish culture and history, spanning from biblical times to the contemporary period. The Posen Library is also developing free, easy-to-use educational tools available on their website. The mission is to provide an inclusive, expansive view of Jewish culture and history and serve as the go-to resource for instructors of Jewish history.Role Description This is a full-time role for an Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer. This position is located in the New York area but will work remotely. The Executive Assistant will be responsible for providing executive administrative assistance and support, managing expense reports, and handling diary management. Day-to-day tasks include scheduling meetings, organizing travel arrangements, and maintaining effective communication on behalf of the CEO. They will also serve as a thought partner to the CEO around outreach and support communications work, including working with consultants and CEO to write and edit copy in alignment with the project mission, brand, and core values. Possible social media work.Qualifications Executive Administrative Assistance and Administrative Assistance skills Executive Support and Diary Management experience Experience in managing Expense Reports Strong organizational and time-management skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently Demonstrated track record of increasing user bases and/or community engagement, ideally around Jewish topics A passion for inclusive learning environments Excitement to be part of a people-centered team committed to one another’s growth Desire for mentorship A sense of humor and ability to roll with the punches Proficiency in common work applications including Google Drive, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Slack, as well as an enthusiasm to learn moreSupport communications work, including working with consultants and CEO to write and edit copy in alignment with the project mission, brand, and core values, possible social media work
