The Stain Specialist is responsible for assessing and executing stain projects as assigned. This position will possess a high level of skill and experience specific to the stain scope as well as other painting functions Essential Job *****Measures area to be stained to determine material quantity. Identifies and verifies product type, color, and finish to be used on projects. Orders materials directly from suppliers / submits allocation tickets to Company warehouse. Masks, removes, covers, or otherwise protects floors, hardware, trim, furniture and other surfaces as needed to complete stain tasks. Sands and prepares surfaces as required for proper stain finish. Applies stain, polyurethane, and other specialty products with expert application techniques. Must have extensive experience with stain matching techniques and applications. Maintains proper inventory of products and tools on work vehicle to complete assigned jobs. Complies with chemical and waste storage disposal and storage regulations / best practices. Maintains a clean work area. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to follow instructions and provide consistently executed work. Performs other duties as assigned***** EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING3+ years of experience with stain projects Ability to learn new software systems specific to the business. Valid drivers license for 3+ years and insurable under the company insurance policy. Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required
