BASIC PURPOSE: Serve guest needs by providing exceptional knowledge of food & beverage menu items as well as information regarding preparation methods. On Call Banquets Bartender beverage program and aspects of cocktail development, product and inventory management. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Offer pre-determined menu selections during events; maintain knowledge of each selection's, origin, taste, and preparation method; communicate guest orders including any special needs or requests to the Banquet Manager or kitchen; check completed kitchen orders with the guest's original order; transport items to the guest in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality. (30%) 2. Assist in set-up of banquet beverage and bars for events according to the banquet event order. (15%) 3. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. (10%) 4. Complete all bartender duties when necessary. (10%) 5. Assist with procurement of beverages for the department including working with beverage purchasing department to stock, fill and create requisitions through Birchstreet on a regular basis. Responsible for PAR Stocks and in charge of monthly beverage inventory, as well as usage and flushing out of dead stock on the cocktail menu (10%) 6. Drive event beverage menu changes seasonally to ensure fresh, innovative and seasonally accurate offerings are on the cocktail list. Collaborate with Director of Events and other F&B departments on menu changes, meeting established deadlines for cocktail and recipe completion as well as creation and tastings for other specially requested beverages (5%) 7. Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. (10%) 8. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Assisting Event server when no bartender needed at an event. 2. Plate and prepare food items. 3. Assist with greeting and directing guests. 4. Assist with moving of furniture for Events set ups when necessary. 5. May require travel for beverage programs and development. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Education: High school education equivalent experience Experience: Minimum one year food service or related work Skills and Abilities: Ability to carry and balance a tray.
