Today, Daybreak operates the Miami Valley/'s only 24-hour crisis hotline and emergency youth shelter and has grown to include outreach, prevention, transitional housing, life-skills education, and other follow-up services for runaway, throwaway, and homeless youth.ResponsibilitiesAs the Chief Financial Officer, you will:Direct the organization/'s financial planning and accounting practices to ensure full financial accountability to the Daybreak Board of Trustees and ensuring the agency is in compliance with GAAP standards, IRS, and other regulatory tax and government grant reporting requirements.Be responsible for designing, developing, and administering agency accounting procedures and practices.Prepare Daybreak/'s annual budget and quarterly fiscal reports for the Board of Trustees and Financial Audit Committee.Monitor financial performance and results to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.Oversee Daybreak/'s overall risk management policies and plans and supervise monthly grant billings and summary budget preparation to monitor grant performance.Serve as the Corporate Compliance Officer and participate on the Executive Management Team, Strategic Planning Team, and Financial Audit Committee.Minimum QualificationsBachelor/'s degree (required) in Accounting or Finance.Ten (10) years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance, with experience managing multiple funding sources and three (3) years of supervisory experience.Nonprofit accounting and government grant experience preferred.Experience with Ohio Medicaid and Managed Care payer plans preferred.It is the policy of Daybreak to ensure facility compliance with all license requirements and that all employees are fit for duty.
