As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading, growing, and developing a team of innovative Software Engineers in designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality software products. We have aggressive goals over the next couple of years and are looking for candidates with a passion for solving large scale problems and a can-do attitude!ResponsibilitiesLead and mentor a team of software engineers in the design, development, and delivery of scalable applications and services using C# and .NET technologies.Provide hands-on technical guidance, contributing to the critical areas of the codebase in C# when needed, while fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.Leads a team to provide high-quality, maintainable software that meets business and technology needs.Must be able to influence other software and IT managers to design and build solutions that meet our needs.Manage career progression for team members, including hiring, performance reviews, salary decisions, mentoring, coaching, and all duties normally associated with a hiring manager.Represent your team in strategy and planning meetings.Work with your team to plan, design, implement and operationalize innovations and improvements to existing programs.Work with your team to continually improve their processes and develop best practices for agile development that delivers value to our stakeholders.Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues through resolution.Stay current with changes in the technical area of expertise.Share knowledge by effectively documenting plans, decisions, and task ownership.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and 4 years’ experience; a Ph.D. and 1 year experience in a related field; or 18 years’ experience in a related field.7+ years of software development experience.2+ years of experience architecting large software solutions.3+ years in managing direct reports.Demonstrate experience executing Agile methods for software product development.Experience with a wide range of software architectures, platforms, and tools including REST APIs, AWS, CI/CD, Design patterns, etc.Very strong business analysis, system analysis, or product analysis skills.Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.Excellent planning and prioritization skills with the ability to multitask and adapt to change.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.What We Look ForHigh energy, confident, ambitious, and self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude.Ability to lead a team to turn high-level requirements into a working system through iterative development.Servant leadership - we want you to empower your team members and remove roadblocks for them.Desire to mentor and help our team members grow.Strong focus on delivering high quality, scalable products.Change Agent – someone who possesses a healthy dissatisfaction with the status quo and drives change to continuously improve operational efficiency.Drug TestingTo be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test.
