This role can sit remote from most locations in the U.S. The role manages and underwrites assigned captive programs, applying captive and construction expertise to drive profitable growth. This customer-facing role builds strong internal and external relationships to meet program goals, facilitates management of captive and captive board meetings, and partners with Agency Management Directors to develop business plans and execute strategic objectives.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate new and renewal captive submissions and use advanced judgement to price and negotiate captive accounts in accordance with Amerisure’s captive underwriting guidelinesProven track record of developing and scaling captive insurance programsManage a $25,000,000 captive with direct responsibility for achieving performance targetsDrive customer satisfaction by building strong relationships with Captive Members and agency brokersConduct captive training workshops for assigned agenciesMaintain organized and thorough underwriting documentation in accordance with Amerisure’s standardsPartner with internal teams, such as claims and risk management, to ensure comprehensive support for agency partners and captive membersRequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experienceDeep expertise in captive industry and knowledge of complex captive programsExperience underwriting construction accounts is preferredStrong analytical, data and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguityCIC, CPCU, AU designations preferredProficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office SuiteDemonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teamsExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customersAbility to travel up to 15%Benefits and workplaceWe reinforce this commitment by adhering to an Employee Value Proposition that, in part, is provided through a competitive total rewards package.
