OverviewPrincipal or Senior Principal Flying Test Bed LCS Analyst/Architect - R10190990, Melbourne, FL. This position is fully onsite with no remote work available. Base pay range: $95,300.00/yr - $178,000.00/yr. Relocation assistance may be available. Clearance type: Secret. Travel: Yes, 10% of the time. This opportunity is contingent on program funding; start dates are determined after funding confirmation.ResponsibilitiesCapable of working independently and as part of a large multi‑disciplined teamPerform fluid system related analysis in support of the development of aircraft subsystems and integration of aircraft avionics and hardware. This includes subsystem performance modeling for liquid cooling systems, air cycle systems, fluid distribution systems, and compartment temperature assessments influenced by structural heat transfer and heat sourcesFamiliarity with Liquid Cooling Systems, Bleed Air systems, ECS (Pack and Vapor Cycle machines), Fuel subsystems and Avionics CoolingSystem level test planning, execution support, verification, and troubleshootingAttend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and provide updates on progressManage team cost and schedule, and mentor junior engineers in fluid subsystems performance analysis Thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations and collaborative settings across all levelsBasic QualificationsPrincipal Engineer: Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline and 5 years of engineering experience, OR Master’s degree with 3 years of engineering experienceSr. Principal Engineer: Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline and 8 years of engineering experience, OR Master’s degree with 6 years of engineering experienceExperience with modeling fluid systems using Amesim, MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS/Fluent, Flowmaster, Easy 5, or similarProfessional experience related to development and integration of liquid cooling systemsAbility to obtain/transfer/maintain final adjudicated government Secret clearance and program access as requiredPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with focus on thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transferExperience modeling Thermal Fluid systems using AMESim, MATLAB/SimulinkExperience interpreting component drawings, specifications, installation drawings, and test proceduresExperience with MIL-HDBK-516 certification processesEngineering or maintenance experience with 737 aircraft LCS/ECS systems is a plusCompensation and BenefitsSalary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00; Salary Range 2: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00. The above ranges are general guidelines and may vary based on scope, responsibilities, experience, and market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
