Overview Ascend Wellness Holdings, Inc. is looking to hire a Dispensary General Manager for Fort Lee, NJ. The base pay range is $90,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Ascend Wellness Holdings (CSE: AAWH.U / OTCQX:AAWH). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Role The General Manager is responsible for the execution of retail store sales and operations to deliver consistent, positive, industry-leading customer experiences and drive profitable top-line sales. This will be accomplished by ensuring that all responsibilities are executed with a commitment to Ascend Wellness Holdings and its subsidiaries’ values, supporting our customers and our team. Responsibilities Recruit, hire and staff the dispensary with top talent from a diverse candidate pool. Coach, develop and maximize the success of all associates. Coach to drive desired behaviors across all roles. Ensure onboarding and ongoing training and education are delivered. Analyze key business metrics, create action plans and gain buy-in from the team. Maintain team communication, lead weekly managers meetings and monthly team meetings. Direct P&L management by driving sales growth and managing expense budgets, including deposits and accounts receivable. Direct workforce management activities. Direct inventory activities, resolving discrepancies in accordance with state law. Oversee operational execution and ensure policies and procedures are followed. Ensure technology solutions are functioning as designed and enforce loss prevention/security policies. Become an expert in cannabis state-specific rules, regulations and laws; execute and enforce compliance accordingly. Develop and drive proactive internal compliance controls and processes; keep employees up to date on regulatory changes. Foster positive relationships with regulators, inspectors and law enforcement personnel. Ensure state and company-sanctioned reports and audits are completed on time. Lead a focus on customer loyalty and emotionally engaging customer experiences. Ensure visual standards align with company direction and implement customer engagement strategies. Coordinate promotions and loyalty program initiatives with management. Oversee wholesale product buys and keep the website and live menu updated to brand standards. Lead change and innovation in a fast-paced environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Management Team. Supervisory Responsibilities Manages and motivates staff (hiring, firing, performance management and recognition). Trains, directs and appraises staff. Creates daily work schedules for proper employee utilization. Plans and organizes workload and staff assignments. Issues instructions and ensures work conforms to policy and procedures. Competencies Demonstrated success managing single or multiple location P&L responsibilities. Knowledge of or willingness to learn state cannabis laws and regulatory compliance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a friendly and outgoing demeanor. Excellent conflict resolution skills and ability to manage difficult situations. Treats people with respect, keeps commitments, inspires trust, and upholds organizational values. Observes regulatory, safety and security procedures. Education, Experience, Eligibility and Training Must be 21 years of age or older. Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college or university; and over five years of multi-location leadership experience in a high-volume retail environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
