Vice President, Product Strategy & Execution

Job OverviewLPL Financial is seeking a Vice President for our Product team to support the strategy and execution of business objectives. This role will work closely with a broad spectrum of stakeholders including executive leaders and their peers across the firm. Responsibilities will include a combination of strategic planning, problem solving, and supporting ad-hoc initiatives as they arise. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively frame questions, challenges, and opportunities, both qualitatively and quantitatively, for discussion and consumption by executive audiences. In addition to assisting with the development of specific deliverables, the candidate must contextualize complex and complicated problems drawing from disciplines such as strategy development, business analysis, process management, operations, and systems analysis.The VP will support the Product team in framing strategic initiatives as well as collecting, refining, and distributing executive-level updates. A successful candidate will possess strategic foresight and be skilled in engaging in high-level discussions with executive leadership. Additionally, the candidate must also understand, utilize, and stay current with industry best practices, financial markets, the regulatory environment, and the competitive landscape to optimize results.ResponsibilitiesLeverage strong communication and presentation skills to synthesize complex issues into easily understandable forms to various audiencesSummarize data and insights into executive-level presentations to facilitate business decision makingSupport the product delivery teams in articulating the commercial business value of technical platform enhancementsCreate executive briefing packs prior to key advisor visits and conferencesCreate / update Management Committee, Investment Committee and Board of Directors, monthly reviews, and other deliverables for leadershipAssist in proactively communicating initiative details across all levels of the organization and across multiple departments in a clear and concise mannerFor key business initiatives, collaborate with stakeholders to frame scope, goals, and deliverables that support business needsIdentify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for change within the current ecosystemCollaborate with leaders, subject matter experts and users to communicate the proposed solution vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needsCreate documents, frameworks, visions, and analysis (quantitative and qualitative) to help solution critical business issuesRequirementsBachelor’s degree5+ years’ experience in corporate strategy, strategic consulting and/or strategic program managementCore CompetenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skills as well as strong quantitative and analytical skillsProven track record of coordinating large-scale efforts across multiple business units and interested partiesDemonstrated ability to develop, iterate, and execute strategies and plansExperience dealing with interested parties to gather feedback and share ideasAbility to adapt to change, work independently and as part of teams, and manage initiatives to deliver results within tight timeframesKeen ability to manage large sets of tasks and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects requests of various size and scopeDetail oriented and organized with the ability to be comfortable in ambiguous and challenging situationsAbility to build strong partnerships across all teamsFinancial services experience a plusPay Range$132,000-$220,000/yearActual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
