Shields Point, LLC has a dynamic opportunity for an Armed Security Facility Commander in support of the Department of Transportation Armed Security Contract located in Washington, D.C. The Armed Security Facility Commander has full authority to act on all contract matters in the Project/Deputy Manager/'s absence. This role requires a leader with demonstrated law enforcement or security experience in managing Armed Security Force and is adept at interacting with government personnel and ensuring compliance with the contract statement of work. This posting is for two separate positions at two separate Washington, D.C. locations (DOT HQ and FAA Facilities). This opportunity is for a potential contract award and is contingent upon the contract being awarded. Responsibilities Serve as the Senior Contractor representative at the Department of Transportation Headquarters, FAA Orville Wright, and FAA Wilbur Wright Facilities, with full authority to act for the contractor on a day-to-day basis in the absence of the Project Manager (PM) or Deputy Project Manager (DPM). Oversee performance at the assigned building Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, ensuring compliance with Federal Protective Service (FPS) A-9 standards. Enforce contract requirements, including scheduling, training, uniform and grooming standards, post orders and inspections, access control, visitor processing, screening, security checks, patrols, and emergency responses. Serve as a point of contact with government, supervisors, and customers. Maintain accurate logs, records, supporting quality control inspections, and contract compliance. Track employees/' licenses, trainings, and certifications. Responsible for armed security weapons procedures and storage requirements on federal property. Ensure responsive, customer-focused services through direct communication, both internally and externally. Qualifications and Experience U.S. Citizen. Must have and maintain an active Public Trust Tier 2 Security Clearance. Must be FPS A-9 Armed Contract Security Officer (ACSO) certified and attend supervisory training. Must complete medical exams, physical abilities tests, and drug screenings when required. Minimum of 5 years/' experience in law enforcement, or 5 years/' experience in a security-related field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position (must be outlined within resume). Must possess 2 years of college in any field, or substantial and credible law enforcement, military, or business management experience. Demonstrated ability to supervise over 20 Armed Guards in a structured work environment. Fluent in English (speaking, reading, and comprehension). Good communication skills to clearly articulate complex concepts. Provide 3 professional references showing experience managing large-scale security operations.
