OverviewS2 Global, an OSI Systems Company, is seeking an accomplished Finance/Accounting professional based out of Billerica, MA. He or she, as a sole contributor, will have overall Financial and Accounting responsibility for the S2 operations and be responsible for implementing a proper financial infrastructure for a growing division of a large public Company. It is therefore critical that the Controller be a solid technician and be able to effectively communicate with S2 Global clients, the executive levels of Rapiscan Systems, as well as within the division.The Director of Finance will possess significant accounting experience and outstanding analytical and communication skills. This role will be responsible for maintaining the Company’s books/records, delivering financial reports which are compliant with GAAP and SEC regulations and managing accounting and reporting policies and processes. It will be critical to this individual’s success that he/she are able to work as a Business Partner for the S2 management team, be team oriented and have a hands-on approach to managing the function.ResponsibilitiesManage and participate in the monthly closing process for a number of legal entities both Domestic and InternationalPreparation of monthly reporting packages which includes US GAAP financial statements and other relevant schedules that are timely, relevant and consistent across multiple legal entitiesResponsible for the preparation of P&L and Balance sheet forecasts on a monthly basis and the annual budget planning processEnsure all general ledger accounts are reconciled in a timely mannerSetup and work with local finance operations for new and existing internationally based programsAssist in the preparation of financial pricing models in support of bids and proposalsDevelop and implement appropriate policies and procedures to enable a proper control environmentOversees all financial and internal control compliance audits and be responsible for implementing corrective actions needed to meet the standards required by the Sarbanes Oxley Act and Government Cost Accounting StandardsDrive continuous improvement in processes and controls with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness, leveraging key systemsProvides data for decision making including early-warning notice and recommends corrective actions in problem areasLiaise with local management, operations and service teams on key customer contracts and act as a Business partner for the Executive team on all aspects of the growing businessUphold the Company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and TeamworkDemonstrate behavior consistent with the Company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
