In this role, the successful candidate will work under the guidance of the Assistant Director for Internships and Fellowships, providing essential administrative support and coordination for the unit. This role supports the agency’s internship and fellowship programs by recruiting, onboarding, engaging, and recognizing interns and fellows. Additionally, the Program Coordinator will build partnerships with external organizations to strengthen internship pipelines. The Program Coordinator will handle various programmatic and administrative tasks, including establishing and maintaining organizational processes and procedures.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the program.Develop and maintain partnerships with potential internship providers.Facilitate onboarding orientations and training programs for new interns, ensuring compliance with program policies, and provide ongoing support to interns throughout their anize and lead workshops and events for interns, including networking opportunities, skill-building, and professional development sessions.Create and manage internship databases, program resources, and evaluation methods.Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.Research, evaluate, and make recommendations on program implementation and operational planning.Develop informational materials and resources for recruitment sessions.Maintain regular communication with internal and external partners to provide updates on the progress of providers and the overall status of the plete special projects and tasks as needed to support the agency’s internship and fellowship programs.Hours/ShiftDayWork LocationBrooklyn, NYHow to ApplyPlease go to and search for Job ID #740123Interested applicants with other civil service titles who meet the preferred requirements should also submit a resume for considerationSubmission of a resume is not a guarantee that you will receive an interview.Appointments are subject to Oversight approval.OTI participates in E-Verify.Public Service Loan ForgivenessAs a prospective employee of the City of New York, you may be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.
