OverviewJob Title: Field Controls EngineerJob DescriptionThis role involves traveling to large material handling sites to perform controls qualifications, specifically I/O checks, on newly installed equipment. It is ideally suited for someone centrally located, with projects mainly in the western region.ResponsibilitiesTravel to various sites up to 80% of the time, following a schedule of Monday to Friday over two weeks, with a subsequent one-week break.Perform I/O checks on 10-20 conveyance lines at material handling sites.Engage in PLC programming and debugging with vendors, primarily using Ladder Logic, which comprises 75% of the role.Ensure vendor quality assurance and compliance with IQ/OQ standards.Essential Skills5+ years of experience in PLC Programming.Proficiency in Python or Java.Strong controls engineering knowledge.Ability to travel extensively.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in vendor management.Knowledge of IQ/OQ standards.Work EnvironmentOn weeks when not traveling, candidates have the flexibility to work remotely from home. The role involves considerable travel, estimated at Monday to Friday for three weeks followed by a one-week break. The team is expanding, offering potential for more work beyond the initial contract.Job Type & LocationThis is a traveling/remote-based contract position.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $67.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
