Overview The Armed Protective Service Officer (PSO) is primarily responsible for performing armed protective service work for the U.S Office of Personnel Management. * This position is contingent upon contract award* Responsibilities * Required to perform a variety of security-related duties, depending on the type of posts to which they are assigned. * Responsible for maintaining logs, reports, and files of all incidents and occurrences encountered during the shift. * Patrol duties must be performed in a professional manner, * Responsible for observing the environment and questioning suspicious activy when necessary. * Required to follow and be familiar with the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * Minimum two (2) years of armed security experience, military, or National Guard service are required. Relevant experience may be substituted by successful completion of a state-certified Law Enforcement Education and Training program, Police Officer's Standard Training course, or one (1) year of full-duty service as a sworn U.S. law enforcement officer. * Must be a US citizen. * Minimum High School Diploma or GED. * Must be at least 21 years of age. * Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment. * Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook. Estimated Salary/Wage USD $20.00/Hr.
