Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel & Word.Preferred ***** Relay testing expertise onsite with utilities System checks, wiring checking & functioning Full-lifecycle commissioning and testing experience of substations Troubleshooting & problem analysis of protection equipment Apparatus testing & analysis using Double Protection, ProTest, AcSELerator or Renoserv Substation lightning stroke shielding plan and grounding plan experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to lead and hold meetings with utility clients Must have an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, or the educational and/or experience related equivalent; Must have demonstrated significant electrical and mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with small, delicate, and complex equipment; Must be able to analyze electrical control and protection problems and be accurate in his work;About The Company The company consults, engineers, installs, and maintains critical infrastructure, communications and mesh systems across the United States for government and private sector clients.Job Duties Install, test, maintain, repair, and operate substation and power plant equipment, including relays, breakers, transformers, and control systems. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance using specialized test equipment. Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and adjust protective relays and regulating apparatus. Conduct inspections, switching operations, and complete required reports and records. Assist with commissioning, new installations, and circuit identification. Add, remove, and modify wiring in AC and DC distribution and control circuits. Utilize hand and power tools for construction, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
