We answer the questions that haven’t been asked yet - this is how we move the future!Position Overview:We have an immediate opening for a Testing Operator. As a Testing Operator, you will be responsible for executing automated and manually driven test procedures to a variety of units, followed by efforts to resolve issues in coordination with production and engineering as needed. This role requires a strong understanding of basic electrical theory and the ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation as well as comfortability with the tools needed to perform the various tests and repairs. You will play a key role in validating wiring quality in the Unit Under Test and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.What your day-to-day will look like:• Perform electrical continuity and HI Pot testing on subassemblies for Coach cars, Locomotives and Light Rail• Connect and disconnect test equipment and vehicle systems as needed• Interpret and follow schematics, wiring diagrams, and test procedures• Operate diagnostic software and specialized test equipment (e.g., NETS)• Document test results and communicate findings to engineering and production teams• Ascend/descend ladders and access roof and underframe areas using company-provided PPE• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues• Maintain compliance with company and industry safety standardsTo thrive in this role, you have:• High school diploma or equivalent• 2+ years of experience in electrical testing, troubleshooting, or related technical field• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings• Familiarity with multimeters and high-voltage systems• Strong attention to detail and communication skills (written and verbal)• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team• Experience with automated test systems and data logging is a plusWhy you'll love working for Siemens!• A competitive employment package - Health, Dental, Vision Insurance, HSA/FSA, Commuter Benefits - starting Day 1!• Solve some of the world's most significant problems - Be part of exciting and innovative projects!• Engaging, challenging, and fast-evolving, pioneering technological environment• Opportunities to contribute your innovative ideas and get paid for them!
