Software solutions are an innovator for operators to improve the utilization of resources (seat management, occupancy analytics, network/timetable, and capacity planning), availability, and interoperability. We are seeking a skilled Technical Solution Professional with a deep understanding of the transit industry to support our growing Software portfolio. In this role, you will work closely with customers, business development teams, and product management to shape solutions that drive digital transformation in public transport. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, sales-driven, thrives in a fast-paced global environment, and excels at presenting sophisticated solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities: Sales Consulting: Engage with customers from problem discovery and need analysis, over portfolio education throughout the entire sales cycle, providing technical guidance to drive opportunities to closure Opportunity Assessment: Identify, evaluate, and qualify opportunities based on customer budget, technical feasibility, strategic fit, and business value Solution Engineering: Translate complex customer business requirements into technical specifications, developing high-level architectures that align with customer requirements and Siemens' product portfolio Solution Validation: Lead proof-of-concept workshops and technical demonstrations to validate solution approaches and demonstrate mobility software capabilities Thought Leadership: Participation in industry communities, associations (APTA, MobilityData, UITP, etc.), and monitoring of grant programs to identify (funding) opportunities and to contribute to the development of innovations, initiates and industry standards To thrive in this role, you have: Minimum 5 years of experience in transit technology, solution engineering, or technical sales Demonstrated experience with SaaS solution design and business understanding Experience in architecting SaaS solutions, mobility platforms, mobile apps, API integrations, and cloud-based architecture Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations (e.g., GTFS, GBFS, WCAG, GDPR, etc.) Fluent in English (written and spoken).
