Vice President of FinanceJob DescriptionGeneralThis job description is intended primarily as an illustration of the type of work to be performed by the VicePresident of Finance (VP). TheVP is amember of the ExecutiveTeam andreports directly tothe President / CEO. The VP’s team is primarily charged with maintaining the organization’s financial records in accordance with GAAP, cash management, budgeting, managing payroll andbenefits, and enforcing the organization’s standardsand policies. Assists as needed with the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, Finance & Audit Committee, Compensation Committee,employees, and volunteer leaders. The VP participates as needed in the day-to-day financial and administrative demands of the Orlando Economic Partnership.The omission of specific duties does not exclude them if they are similar,related, or logical assignments in support of the mission. OEP employees may occasionally be called upon to provide their uniquetalents and abilities to solve specific problems or to address specific questions outsidetheirjobdescription. Thesemay berelated eithertotheirteam’s missionor tosupport anorganizational goal.As such, they may be asked to participate in a variety of ad-hocassignments and are expected to be flexible in their work practice and supportive of other team members.Duties and ResponsibilitiesManagesproceduresand systemsnecessarytomaintainproperrecordsandtoafford adequate accounting controls and services.AnalyzesPartnership’sfinancialinformation;preparesmonthlyfinancialstatementsand other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.Supervisestreasurymanagementfunctions.Producesad-hocfinancialreportsasneeded.Implementprocesses,proceduresand reporting tohelpthebusinessunderstand, analyze, and meet the requirements of a rapidly changing regulatory environment.EnforcesOEPchartofaccounts,policiesandprocedures drivingcontinuousimprovement of the control environment within the process.Managestheannualbudgetprocess.Assiststheexecutiveteaminunderstandingtheirbudgetvariancereports.Maintainsbankingrelationshipsandservesastheprimarycontactwithbanks.Maintains relationships with legal counsel and is responsible for coordinating the annual audits and tax filings as well as the Finance Committee review of the same.Maintainallregulatoryfilings(local,state,andfederal).Maintainsbudgeting andreimbursementprocesswithfederalgrants.Maintainsadequate insurance forthecorporation aswellasotherriskmanagement functions.Job QualificationsBachelor’sdegreeinaccounting,financeorrelatedfieldrequired; Graduatedegree(MBA, MSA or MPA) and / or professional certification preferred (CPA or CMA).5-10 yearsofexperienceinleadership roles withatax-exemptorganization(501c6 membership association preferred).Knowledge ofwritinginternalaccountingpolicies andmanager masterdataand chartof accounts.ExperiencewithchangeinitiativesandparticipationthereofInitiative-takingandabletoworkwithlittlesupervision.Accurate&meticulouswithoutstanding problem-solvingability.Theabilitytoprioritizeaheavyworkload,produceerrorfreework,andmeetdeadlines.Advancedcomputerskills(MicrosoftOffice,MicrosoftDynamicsGP).Good verbal and written communications skills must be able to communicate effectively with board members, colleagues, and management. #J-18808-Ljbffr
