The VP of Marketing and Innovation is a member of the Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO.What You’ll Be Brewing UpStrategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO and Leadership Team to drive growth, profitability, and positive impact; create a long-term brand vision aligned with the brewery’s mission and values; set clear, measurable goals; define market positioning to differentiate the brand.Growth & Planning: Develop long-term growth strategies, go-to-market planning, and revenue forecasting; lead a high-performing marketing and innovation team; manage budgets and allocate resources to priorities with measurable results; define KPIs and use analytics to measure brand health, innovation success, and campaign novation & Product Development: Lead product pipeline management to anticipate market trends and consumer preferences; foster cross-functional collaboration with brewing and sales; own brand design and go-to-market strategy for new launches; implement consumer testing and incorporate insights before launch; monitor competitors and market shifts to identify opportunities.Brand Management: Create a cohesive brand strategy across all touchpoints (market, events, retail, taproom, digital); direct visual identity and creative output; design customer loyalty programs; oversee PR and media strategies; steward brand voice and identity across units.Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team; establish performance metrics and development plans; promote cross-department collaboration with sales, production, and hospitality goals; cultivate authentic external partnerships with distributors, retailers, and industry allies.Culture & Values: Lead with a focus on fun, authenticity, community, and excellence; inspire a positive work environment and collaboration across the organization.What You’ll Bring To The Table10+ years of progressive CPG marketing leadership experience in marketing strategy, brand management, and consumer insights; preferably in craft beverage, food/bev CPG, or outdoor-lifestyle industries.Proven success in brand strategy, portfolio management, sales collaboration, consumer experience, and innovation leadership.Strong creative sensibility and design oversight experience; demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.Track record of driving business growth through integrated marketing, product launches, and collaboration with sales and events/experiential design.Ability to blend strategic vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment; understanding of B Corp certification in brand and business strategy.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders; analytical mindset with experience in market research and data-driven decision-making.Passion for craft beverages and beer culture; alignment with Lawson’s core values: Have Fun, Keep it Authentic, Be the Finest, Focus on Community, Take Good Care.Based in Waitsfield, VT, Headquarters (with occasional travel to conferences, partners, and more).Well-qualified candidates with slightly less experience may be considered for a Director-level role leading the Marketing function with growth potential.Why You’ll Love Working HereYou’ll be part of a passionate, fun-loving crew who believe in quality, community, and enjoying the ride.
