OverviewThe Director of Engineering is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight, development, and management of the organization’s infrastructure and engineering operations. This position leads a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all physical assets, while supporting organizational growth and driving continuous improvement.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute the strategic vision for engineering operations in alignment with organizational goals.Lead and mentor a team of managers, engineers, and technical staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.Collaborate with senior leadership to align engineering strategies with business needs and growth initiatives.Implement preventive maintenance programs and ensure optimal performance of equipment, systems, and infrastructure.Promote energy efficiency and sustainability practices across all operations.Manage vendor relationships and service contracts, ensuring performance standards and cost controls are met.Develop and maintain emergency response plans, safety protocols, and business continuity strategies.Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes affecting engineering.Lead capital projects from planning through execution, ensuring timely delivery and budget adherence.Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, including health, safety, and environmental standards.Represent the organization in interactions with regulatory agencies and industry associations.Provide leadership during crisis situations to ensure the safety of personnel and protection of assets.Encourage continuous learning and professional development within the engineering teams.Prepare and present operational reports, metrics, and strategic updates to executive leadership.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).8+ years of progressive leadership experience in engineering, preferably in a regulated industry.Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex projects.Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.Seniority levelDirectorEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesPharmaceutical Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
