Overview2026 - Food Service Director - ROCKSTAR for SUMMER 2026 (Seasonal Relocation Job is not Local) at Wolfoods, Inc.Wolfoods operates summer camp kitchens across the country between May - September. This is a hands-on, demanding position where lead staff live on site; room, board, and travel expense assistance are provided.ResponsibilitiesPerform all duties toward the goal of providing excellent guest service in an efficient mannerDevelop effective schedules for the staff based on levels of business and budgetary guidelinesSchedule and coordinate all side work for personnelMaintain cleanliness and organization in the Dining Hall according to established standards of sanitationMaintain appearance and uniform standardsBe on the floor during meal periods to observe, monitor, and follow up on all areas of the dining hall operationWork with the chef on duty to maintain high standards of food presentation and sanitationTrain and develop all FOH dining personnelProvide ongoing feedback to all service personnel concerning standards and performanceCommunicate with the Head Chef and Camp Directors daily concerning all aspects of the dining hall operationInteract with diners for general feedbackEnsure the dining hall is open and prepared 15 minutes prior to serviceImplement a checklist system to facilitate the dining hall throughout the dayFollow Wolfoods initiatives for environmental practices to minimize wasted energy and resourcesMaintain knowledge of all menus and specificationsMaintain constant follow up with dining hall standardsFollow safety practices to minimize riskProduce daily reportingCommunicate effectively with staff and supervisorsAble to motivate and foster a positive work environmentAttend related in-service training and staff meetingsUnderstand food safety as it pertains to special diet food preparations and cooking for individuals with allergiesInteract professionally with campers, staff, and parentsControl inventory and place ordersProject management and overall kitchen/FOH supervisionUphold Wolfoods standards of service and qualityMaintain health department sanitation standardsManage staff and client relationsFollow the Wolfoods Camp Food Training ProgramUse weights and measures to properly execute recipesPrepare all menu items and special events; follow standardized recipesEnsure production is accurate in timing, quantity, quality, and platingLead in planning, scheduling, directing, and trainingUnderstand cross-utilization and utilize excess productionEstimate production needs, establish par levels, and maintain inventoryPlace accurate food orders ahead of timeEnsure kitchen and equipment meet health standardsTeach and enforce safety regulationsSpecialized food preparation for events; assist in developing and tasting recipesAssist in planning menus; recommend equipment purchasesMay act as Front of House supervisor when necessaryQualifications & Experience4+ years Commercial Kitchen Experience in a Lead RoleMinimum three professional references required with application submissionProficient in relevant skills relating to the roleQuality driven; able to self-motivateHigh level computer literacyRecognize and uphold health department standardsAble to both lead a team and take directionMinimum 6-day work week, 70-hour weekMust live on-site in a rural setting with possible shared living spacesMust be able to stand for long periods and lift/carry 50 poundsMust be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periodsServSafe Manager CertifiedServSafe Allergens Certification before start of camp (Company Sponsored)Ability to work under pressure in environments with varying temperaturesAbility to cook from scratch; institutional and batch cooking experience is highly desiredIdeal Candidates AreLooking for seasonal, summer opportunitiesEnjoy high-volume production kitchen and dining facilityEmbrace a teaching and learning cultureExcited to be part of a team and communityAvailable to relocate for the summer season in a rustic living environmentEmployment Package IncludesCompetitive payBonus systemRoom, boardTransportation expense assistanceSeasonal summer contractsAbout Wolfoods, Inc.WOLFoods breaks away from the standard approach towards camp food by offering home-style scratch cooking and serving camps committed to healthy, fresh, and delicious foods.
