OverviewRevel Group is seeking a highly skilled and proactive General Counsel to provide strategic legal guidance and support across its diverse portfolio of entities.The General Counsel will be a key member of the leadership team and will provide comprehensive legal advice and risk management guidance across a wide range of issues including employment law, liability, regulatory compliance, contracts, corporate governance, real estate development, and workers’ compensation. This role requires strong business acumen, excellent judgment, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Counsel & ComplianceServe as the chief legal advisor for all entities, providing clear, pragmatic guidance on business and legal mattersOversee and manage legal compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations across diverse industries (entertainment, recreation, development, consulting)Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, vendor agreements, waivers, lease documents, partnership agreements, and NDAsDevelop, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures that ensure regulatory compliance and reduce liabilityEmployment & Labor LawAdvise HR and leadership on employment-related matters including hiring, terminations, wage and hour laws, benefits, and workplace investigationsEnsure compliance with OSHA, EEOC, ADA, FMLA, and other applicable labor lawsAddress issues related to harassment, discrimination, workplace safety, and employee relationsIdentify potential areas of legal risk across all entities and propose mitigation strategiesManage liability waivers, safety policies, and claims in high-risk recreational environmentsOversee and support the handling of workers' compensation claims and litigationSupport in navigating land use regulations, zoning, permitting, and construction lawAssist with real estate acquisitions, due diligence, development agreements, and project-related contractsGovernance & LeadershipProvide strategic legal input to executive leadership for operational planning and long-term decision-makingEngage and manage outside counsel when necessaryMaintain corporate records and ensure proper governance structures are in place across all entitiesQualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school; member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar (Tennessee bar a plus)Minimum 5 years of experience in a general counsel, in-house, or law firm role, preferably supporting multiple business units or entitiesDemonstrated expertise in employment law, liability, regulatory compliance, and contract lawExperience with recreational, hospitality, or real estate industries is highly desirableStrong business judgment, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate complex legal matters in clear, actionable termsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with executive leadership and operational teamsWhat We Offer$180,000-$220,000 annuallyCompetitive benefits packageOpportunity to work with dynamic and diverse businesses in the outdoor adventure, recreation, and real estate sectorsOpportunities for growth and leadership in a high-impact, multi-entity organizationSeniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionLegalIndustriesHospitality #J-18808-Ljbffr
