Overview: Wound Care Nurse - Franciscan Village - LemontFranciscan Village, a part of Franciscan Ministries, is a vibrant senior living community located in Lemont, Illinois. We are a continuing care retirement community (CCRC), offering a variety of senior lifestyle options including independent living, memory support assisted living, and skilled nursing/long-term care. Additionally, the onsite rehabilitation clinic offers inpatient and outpatient physical, occupational, and speech therapies, and state-of-the-art programs designed to enhance the quality of life for residents and patients in the local community. We are agency free!Position Description:Ideal candidate must have effective communication skills for interacting with physicians, families and staff and residentsRecent experience in a skilled environment as a wound care nurse with in depth knowledge of treatment protocols, measuring wounds, documentation, etc. Good assessment skills and communication skills. They currently have an opening at one of their 127 bed skilled nursing facilities. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Wound Care Coordinator.Wound Care- LPN or RN Licensed Nurse in good standingExperience in a wound care nurse role, preferably managementAbility to care for high acuity patientsAbility to facilitate teamworkValid CPR/BLSAbility to effectively prioritize in a fast pace environmentWound Care Certification preferredAbility to work in Acuity environment and alongside a team3-5 years experience in skilled nursingManagement ExperienceGood Communication SkillsPCC On Call RotationProven Results in Wound Care Plan implementation resulting in a decrease of wounds for one or more patients over a reasonable length of timeExperience working in skilled nursing facility a plusKnowledge of regulations set forth through Illinois Department of Public HealthOversees the proper administration of total care to our residents. Works collaboratively with members of the healthcare team.
