*Maintenance Technician - Night Shift*Scroll down to find an indepth overview of this job, and what is expected of candidates Make an application by clicking on the Apply button.*Contract**Raleigh, NC**Overview:*The Maintenance Technician - Night Shift provides maintenance expertise to service, repair, and maintain process and utility equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for improving equipment uptime, line efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service.*Responsibilities:** Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production and utility equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.* Diagnose root causes of equipment issues (e.g., vibration, temperature, bearing failures, abnormal noises, poor performance) and implement corrective actions.* Repair and overhaul equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, blowers, fans, compressors, and drives.* Set up and align equipment to design specifications using precision tools (e.g., Roma-align, lasers).* Document all maintenance activities in the CMMS system with accuracy and detail.* Partner with Operations to understand needs, answer questions, and provide reliable support with strong customer service.* Work safely, following all applicable safety procedures, PPE requirements, and departmental policies.* Support engineering changes, condition monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.* Assist in areas outside primary responsibility and learn additional skills as required.*Basic Qualifications:** High school diploma or GED.* Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience.* Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available).* Must pass background check and drug screening requirements.*Preferred Skills/Experience:** Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on repair experience.* Ability to read, write, and communicate technical information in English.* Proficiency with business software (Maximo, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite).* Familiarity with troubleshooting tools such as multimeters, calipers, etc.* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.* Comfortable working with or around equipment, climbing ladders and stairs, and using PPE.* Experience in equipment setup, alignment, and preventive maintenance.*Additional Information:** Night shift position (12-hour 2-2-3 schedule after training period). Training will initially be on day shift.* Overtime may be required during shutdowns, emergencies, or peak workloads.* Role involves working around potentially hazardous equipment, powders, liquids, and gases.
