Job Title: Project Manager Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to estimate, oversee, coordinate, and report on mechanical system and/or piping installation projects. The role involves ensuring that appropriate manpower and resources are available and utilized with the highest degree of efficiency, completing projects on schedule and within budgets, and assuring customer requirements are satisfied. You will be responsible for developing and motivating a highly productive and loyal team of installers, sheet metal workers, plumbers, and pipe fitters. Responsibilities * Treat all people with respect, honesty, and integrity at all times. * Work with the Operations Manager to plan and schedule projects, ensuring necessary resources are available. * Manage projects from design through to field installation and job closeout, ensuring work conforms to approved plans and is delivered on time and on budget. * Oversee and coordinate field installation activities, ensuring appropriate personnel, materials, and resources are at work sites. * Support the sales process by developing accurate and timely estimates of cost and profitability for prospective work. * Manage project teams, supervising employees, providing performance feedback, coaching, and training to develop staff to their full potential. * Provide effective communication processes throughout the field teams, including the distribution of plans, specifications, shop drawings, and conducting team meetings. * Maintain paperwork and records required by the position, including processing change orders, purchase orders, contracts, and RFI logs. * Identify areas where operational processes can be improved and work with others towards the goal of continuous improvement. * May provide design and technical leadership in areas such as sheet metal work, plumbing/piping systems, or other specialties within the HVAC and mechanical trades. * Collaborate with other staff to provide assistance and support, and may fill in for absent employees and help with peak workloads. * Assure that safety is a priority consideration in all aspects of the work. * Participate with the management team to develop plans and policies for company operation. * Perform other duties as assigned or as operations require. Essential Skills * Extensive knowledge of HVAC, mechanical systems, and/or plumbing/piping through on-the-job training and five or more years of HVAC experience. * Demonstrated management and leadership skills. * Familiarity with MS Office and well-established skills in using Excel. * Experience using project management software. * Proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam. * Experience with RFI's, submittals, change orders, scheduling, budgeting, and estimating. * Experience with commercial, healthcare, or high-rise projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering. * PMP certification. * Mechanical Estimating experience. * Experience with Quickpen DuctDesigner 3D. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $125000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
