Armed Security Officer - Full Time - Denver, CO Wage: $23.53/HR Securitas is offering a $500 bonus to those who hold an Armed Endorsement on their Denver Guard License! Available Schedules: * Mon - Fri: 6:45AM - 4:30PM * Fri / Mon: 7AM - 5PM & Sat / Sun: 9AM - 5 30PM * Tues - Sat: 10:30PM - 6:30AM Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent. What Your Day May Look Like: * Patrols assigned site on foot or in vehicle; checks for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons. * Responding to emergency situations where rapid and effective judgment, appropriate escalation and use of force is required. * Working directly with law enforcement, government staffing and the community. * Writing detailed incident reports on unauthorized entries, suspicious activity, emergency situations, and any other observed issues. * Security screening all persons coming through the public entrance to ensure prohibited items are not entering facilities. * Monitors surveillance cameras. Position Requirements: * 21 years of age or older. * High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months. * Standard computer / technology skills needed - The ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone. * Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus!! * Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner. * Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift. * Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation. * All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation. * Must have prior military or armed experience. * Must have Armed Security experience. * Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification. * Must have a reliable personal vehicle. * Must have the legal right to work in the United States. * Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English. * Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular). * Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic. * Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication. * Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift. * Must be comfortable conducting access control duties. * Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.
