This is more than just a job - it's an opportunity to build the future of beverage distribution and grow with a company that truly cares about its people.OverviewResponsible for assisting the logistics manager with associate calls, customer calls, new associate training, maintenance of equipment, and all aspects of the logistics department.Primary ResponsibilitiesResponsible for ensuring all logistics associates meet DOT and CMV requirementsResponsible for overseeing the delivery of the product to the customerEnsures new logistics associates are trained and ensures understanding of organization and operation policies and service guidelinesResponsible for maintaining the Road Net softwareEnsures that the fleet is maintained properly, including all maintenance and safety-related issuesCoach directs and counsel's associates on overall performance via driver surveys & customer surveysEnsure productivity expectations are met and monitors progress regularlyIdentify and recommends opportunities for associate development and performance improvement requirementsParticipate in the recruitment and hiring of all logistics associatesAdditional Primary ResponsibilitiesField calls and facilitates actions as necessaryTrain all logistics employees on SGWS policiesConduct monthly safety training/meetings are conducted, per SGWS Safety PolicyEnsure all accidents are handled and reported, according to company policyEnsure all route changes are communicated dailyMonitor schedules to maintain adequate staffing levels dailyPerform other related duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience or equivalent education and related experienceProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills Physical DemandsPhysical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stoopingAdditional hours may be required during October, November, and December and other peak periodsMay require working at heights of 8 feet or greaterMay require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbEEO StatementSouthern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
