The role will also work closely with accounting, human resources, and field administrative personnel to help secure an accurate payroll. Primary ResponsibilitiesProcess end to end payroll accurately, timely, and in accordance to Federal, State, and Local laws for salaried and hourly employeesReview and audit all data entries/changes on the employee record for accuracy including, but not limited to new hires, terminations, pay changes, direct deposit and tax electionsProcess, review, and balance payroll batch information which includes time clock entries, bonus entries and other compensation variable pay entries before payroll is finalizedResearch and resolve all payroll requests or inquiriesPerform various payroll audits to ensure payroll is balanced and accurateAdditional Primary ResponsibilitiesPost payroll to accounting for each pay cycle, to create payroll entries in General LedgerAdminister all employee wage attachments (e.g., child supports, garnishments, tax levies) timely and accurately according to various state guidelinesSubmit electronic child support payments once audited and balancedCreate and distribute payroll reports as neededPlan and organize workload around multiple assignments to manage deadlines and deliver achievement of assigned goals and objectivesCommunicate with various personnel through written and verbal methods to facilitate strong working relationshipsServe as a back-up for other payroll administratorsPerform other job-related duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalencyThree (3) years of experience in a multi-jurisdictional payroll environment Demonstrated functional knowledge of payroll concepts, compliances, practices and procedures Full understanding of all complexities with regards to calculating gross to netTwo (2) years of experience processing payroll utilizing an integrated HR Platform (SAP preferred), specifically in the areas of transaction management, OM/PA processing payroll, running reports, translating results tables and knowledge of wage typesTwo (2) years of experience managing time and attendance system inquiries (KRONOS preferred)Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office Suites and Excel (V-Look Up and Pivot Tables)10-key calculator requiredStrong Analytical Skills and High Attention to Detail RequiredGarnishment ExperienceMust be a team player and able to work in a fast-paced environmentPhysical DemandsPhysical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or mobile devicePhysical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stoopingMay require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 20lbsEEO StatementSouthern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, an Affirmative Action/EEO employer, prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type and provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
