Substance Use Counselor Trainee

This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity for those initiating their career in substance abuse counseling. You will work under the supervision of seasoned professionals and participate in training sessions that focus on delivering evidence-based counseling services including medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder and other substance use challenges. Assist in conducting patient assessments and help in the development of individualized treatment plans. Participate in group and individual counseling sessions under the guidance of licensed counselors. Support counselors in maintaining comprehensive patient documentation. Help monitor patient progress and participate in the evaluation of treatment effectiveness. Engage in ongoing educational activities to improve knowledge and skills under the direct supervision of experienced professionals. Maintain confidentiality and security of all client information. Basic understanding of substance use disorders and addiction treatment modalities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to adhere strictly to ethical and confidentiality guidelines. Basic skills in record keeping and patient documentation. Ability and readiness to work as part of a team.
