Asbestos Investigator

Liro Group, located in Syosset, NY, is actively seeking a highly skilled Asbestos Investigator to join our Environmental Health & Safety team. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety standards and for safeguarding public health by identifying and mitigating asbestos hazards in construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations and assessments on various construction sites, predominantly in urban areas where Liro Group operates. This role combines fieldwork with analytical responsibilities to ensure that all construction projects adhere to current health and safety laws and regulations regarding asbestos. Conduct site inspections and collect samples for asbestos testing. Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for asbestos removal or containment. Work closely with construction managers to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Coordinate with state and federal environmental agencies to report findings and compliance. Stay updated on the latest environmental health and safety regulations and asbestos management practices. Educate construction staff and management on asbestos risks and prevention strategies. Expertise in asbestos detection, sampling, and analysis techniques. Strong understanding of construction processes and materials. Ability to interpret and implement environmental health and safety laws and regulations. Proficiency in using environmental testing and analysis equipment. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
