Substance Use Counselor

BayMark Health Services is seeking a dedicated Substance Use Counselor to join our team and play a crucial role in providing support and therapy to individuals dealing with opioid use disorder and other forms of substance abuse. The successful candidate will work closely with patients, offering counseling services that are integral to our comprehensive addiction treatment programs. This position requires a compassionate individual with a strong understanding of the challenges associated with addiction and a deep commitment to patient recovery. Assess patient substance use disorders and determine appropriate treatment plans. Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to provide support and guidance. Collaborate with medical and mental health professionals to tailor interventions for each patient. Document and maintain accurate records of patients' progress. Develop outreach programs to educate the community and reduce the stigma associated with addiction. Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans. Provide crisis intervention as needed.
