About the RoleThey are hiring aMachine Learning / AI Engineerto design, prototype, and ship machine learning systems with a strong focus on large language model (LLM) workflows, real-world evaluation, and deployment readiness. This is a hands-on engineering role (not research-focused) where you’ll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to bring powerful AI into real student experiences. **On-site, Berkeley, CA Experience *0–2 years *Full-time, in-office Top-of-market cash with meaningful equity (0.1–0.3%) ResponsibilitiesBuild, scale, and own ML/AI systems. Design evaluation pipelines and apply them to iteratively improve performance. Collaborate cross-functionally to ship student-facing ML features. Drive high-quality, high-speed execution in a startup environment. Requirements0–2 years of professional ML engineering experience, ideally in product-facing roles. Strong machine learning and software engineering skills. Proficiency with Python and frameworks such as FastAPI or Django, plus experience with Postgres. Hands-on experience with ** * orchestration, context management, evaluation, and fine-tuning. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Passion for building impactful products.
