Our company's measurable growth is in no small part due to our team members in North Carolina, Arkansas, Illinois, and Missouri, who each have a seat at the table to contribute to our successIndustrial Maintenance TechnicianJob Summary Provide mechanical support service in response to operational changes resulting from malfunction, breakdown, relocation, replacement or other modification of existing mechanical systems and/or equipmentKey Responsibilities Must achieve Minimum Effectiveness Level (MEL) within 3 years of Hire DateAssist maintenance team and support all aspects of the maintenance department as needed or directedComplete maintenance work orders accurately and on timePerform emergency equipment repairs alone and/or with assistance of other IMT'sPerform preventive maintenance on plant equipment and machineryWork in accordance with quality, safety, sanitation standards, quality polices and guidelinesAbility to work in a team-based environmentMinimum Qualifications (Educations & Experience) General industrial mechanical maintenance and/or electrical system experience preferredHigh School Diploma or GED PreferredEssential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must be able to complete a post-offer physical examination successfully in accordance with position functional capacity requirementsWill be required to work in elevated areas above 4 feetMust be able to climb ladder and wear fall protection as necessaryPreferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Follow diagrams, operation manuals, manufacturing instructions and troubleshooting malfunctionsComplete all appropriate documentation as required by IMT system and managementCommunicate with all levels in organizationAbility to work independently to make decisions with minimal supervisionPhysical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 50 - 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus. Working Conditions & Travel Requirements Work is performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities. Position requires working around processing plant equipment. Must be physically capable of working extended hours if needed and in a wet environment, standing for long periods of time, and operating processing equipment. This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment. The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 DBA and require hearing protection.
