We believe management should serve our guests and employees rather than supervise employeesOVERVIEW:A General Manager is, in short, tasked with supporting the overall operation of his or her pub. A business is a living, organic entity so the job is constantly changing as the needs of the business change. An assistant general manager needs to be organized, diligent and flexible to successfully negotiate the day-to-day operations of our living, organic brewpubs. Their actions, words and thoughts color the experiences of our guests and set the example for the entire staff.GM QUALIFICATIONS:•Must have 2+ years prior restaurant management experience•Manage the overall operational, budgetary and financial responsibilities and activities of the pub•Recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ an appropriate number of employees•Coach, mentor and develop staff as well as on-board and terminate•Must have a strong skill set in all areas of the pub and the ability to multitask with a sense of urgency.•Must possess leadership presence with staff, MODs, general managers, and owners.•Must have a direct and sensitive communication style.•Must be an ambassador of our company with our guests and the public.•Must have good hygiene and a professional appearance.•Must be willing to step up and work through conflict for the mutual benefit of all involved.•Must have excellent organizational skills.•Must demonstrate a vast sense of commitment to the pub.•Must be versatile on Mac computers and software.PERSONAL TRAITS OF A GM:•Optimistic Warmth - Genuine kindness, thoughtfulness, and a sense that the glass is always at least half full.Intelligence - Not just "smarts" but rather an insatiable curiosity to learn for the sake of learning.Work Ethic - a natural tendency to do something as well as it can possibly be done.Empathy - an awareness of, care for, and connection to how others feel and how your actions make others feel.Self-Awareness and Integrity - an understanding of what makes you tick and a natural inclination to be accountable for doing the right thing with honesty and superb judgment More detail about Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery part of Mountain Sun Pubs & Breweries , please visit
