Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division is the North American market leader in the production of passenger locomotives and coaches, and light rail vehicles. As a Production Welder I, you will support a broad range of welding, alignment, and assembly activities in a dynamic, high-energy production environment in the fabrication of carbon steel and stainless-steel car bodies for the best rail vehicles in the world. What your day-to-day will look like: Utilize production blueprints, parts lists, sketches, and verbal instructions to execute electronic or manual welding tasks, including standard and repetitive assembly operations. Construct and assemble routine welded units such as subassemblies and mounted parts with precision. Conduct visual inspections and adhere to established quality checks to ensure the highest standards are met. To thrive in this role, you have: High school education or state recognized GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Practical welding test will be required for all candidates to assess skills. Working knowledge of torch and plasma equipment is preferred. General mechanical background. Fully understand manufacturing drawings, able to verify dimensions. Capable of basic written and verbal communication in English.
