Job Posting Title: Healthcare Finance Coordinator Position Type: Professional / Unclassified Department: LSUAM AA - SA - H&WB - SHC - Ops - Finance (Keiron L Couret (00000445)) Work Location: Student Health Center (C&l Infirmary) Building Pay Grade: Professional Hourly Job Description: Reporting to the Assistant Director, Budget and Finance, the Healthcare Finance Coordinator provides assistance in all financial reporting and processing including travel, payroll, and reconciliation. Additionally, the Coordinator provides patient access support to improve processes and flow of clinics. The Coordinator should have a deep appreciation for a collaborative care model, partnering with all areas of the SHC, and be committed to advancing the divisional priorities, and cultivating a working relationship with Our Lady of the Lake Health. Job Responsibilities: Business and Administrative Support - 40% Prepare departmental billings, daily financial reports, and deposit reconciliation with accuracy and timeliness. Assist with tracking expenses against approved budgets, and assist in monthly invoice and ledger reconciliation while overseeing accounts receivable processes for external entities. Post charges and payments, reconcile patient accounts, balance daily receipts, and report discrepancies to management. Serve as petty cash custodian and primary contact with the office of Bursar operations. Actively contributes to accreditation efforts by addressing compliance standards and implementing consultative improvements. Front Desk Support and Customer Care - 40% Enhance patient access by greeting and assisting visitors, coordinating appointments, and managing high call volumes with professionalism and care. Verify patient demographics, eligibility, and insurance, while completing registration and check-in processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Collect payments, reconcile transactions, and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely manner. Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA while supporting a seamless patient experience across multiple systems. Timekeeper/Payroll - 15% Manage payroll operations by reconciling time entries, approving submissions, and coordinating with LSU Payroll to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Maintain complete documentation for audit purposes and oversee proper handling of timecards. Strengthen compliance and efficiency by annually reviewing and updating policies and procedures on compensatory time, overtime, and payroll procedures. Other Duties - 5% Other duties as assigned by the Student Health Center Executive team, including the direct supervisor. This includes but is not limited to efforts that support broad Student Health Center operations, divisional and institutional efforts, and other special projects. Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * LSU values skills, experience, and expertise. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree * 1 year of healthcare office experience. * Working knowledge of an electronic clinic management/health record, Workday, and Excel.
