Cad Drafter

Job Title: CAD Drafter Job Description We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Civil 3D drafter to produce technically accurate and complete construction drawings, including plan sets, profiles, cross-sections, and detailed layouts, in accordance with company and industry CAD standards. This role involves reviewing engineering drawings to extract and apply relevant information, maintaining project files and templates for consistent workflows, and assisting with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and design revisions. The drafter will provide support during permitting and construction phases, collaborate closely with engineers and designers to update drawings efficiently, and coordinate with project managers and regulatory reviewers to resolve design issues. Additionally, the role supports the development and refinement of internal CAD standards and best practices. Responsibilities + Produce construction drawings, plan sets, profiles, cross-sections, and detailed layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D. + Review engineering drawings to extract and apply relevant information. + Maintain project files and templates for consistent workflows. + Assist with quantity takeoffs, cost estimates, and design revisions. + Provide support during permitting and construction phases. + Collaborate with engineers and designers to update drawings efficiently. + Coordinate with project managers and regulatory reviewers to resolve design issues. + Support the development and refinement of internal CAD standards and best practices. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience as a Civil CAD Drafter in civil/site design, transportation, or land development. + Strong ability to develop and apply drafting/CAD standards to project tasks. + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, site design, land development, transportation engineering, and grading. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design or a related field is preferred but not required. + Experience with civil 3D grading tools and generating 3D utility and/or grading profiles. + Familiarity with Baltimore City and Maryland municipal standards is a huge plus. Work Environment The work environment is in-office five days a week from 8 am to 4 pm, offering flexibility as needed. The company is located in a tight-knit office right by Druid Hill Park. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Baltimore, Maryland.
