What We NeedCORPAY is currently looking to hire an Accounting Manager within our Accounting and Finance division. This position falls under our Corporate Overhead line of business and is located in Brentwood. In this role, you will help lead the company's Corporate Accounting Department. You will report directly to VP, Assistant Corporate Controller and regularly collaborate with team and department(s).How We WorkAs an Accounting Manager in the Corporate Accounting function of Corpay, you will be expected to work in an office environment. Corpay will set up for success by providing:Position offers flexible work hours requiring on-site presences four days a week to support collaboration and team engagement in our Brentwood officeOn-the job training with formal training as neededCPE credits for CPA and other accounting certificationsCompany-issued equipment + remote accessRole ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of the role will include:Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities, including timely review of journal entries for prepaid amortization, fixed assets, leases, intercompany balancing, and expense account accrualsTimely preparation or reviewing of fluctuation analysis, account reconciliations, and reporting schedules utilized in internal and external reportingResponsible for evaluating the effectiveness and adequacy of CORPAY's controls over spreadsheets including evaluation and improving IPE (Information Prepared by Entity), developing new procedures to document controlsThoughtful standardization of processes already performed by Shared Services as well as integration of new subsidiaries into the Shared Services processes especially related to fixed assetsEnsuring the timely reporting of all monthly and quarterly financial statements and related schedules, with full interpretation of financial resultsContinually evaluate and optimize month-end close processes to deliver process automation and improved accuracyPartnering with and liaison with other departments on analyzing financial results, problem resolution, and strategic business initiativesWorking with internal and external auditors to ensure documentation and assessment are within their standardsParticipating in special projects and perform other related duties as assignedQualifications & SkillsProven team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organizationAbility to coordinate and work with business leaders in multiple locationsMust be a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with the ability to see the big pictureExperience working in a complex, large scale accounting and finance environment preferredDemonstrated background and knowledge of US GAAP and SOXAbility to evaluate situations objectively and identify potential issuesIDEAL EXPERIENCE The ideal candidate will have:Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA CandidateCPA preferredKnowledge of fixed assets and leases and ability to familiarize and understand ERP systems relating to these assets3+ years of previous experience in accounting rolesPrior experience in a publicly traded company a plusAbility to adapt to change and identify areas of improvementBenefits & PerksMedical, Dental & Vision benefits available the 1st month after hireAutomatic enrollment into our 401k plan (subject to eligibility requirements)Virtual fitness classes offered company-wideRobust PTO offerings including major holidays, vacation, sick, personal, & volunteer timeEmployee discounts with major providers (i.e. wireless, gym, car rental, etc.)Philanthropic support with both local and national organizationsFun culture with company-wide contests and prizesOur Company & PurposeCORPAY is a global leader in business payments, laser focused on developing smarter ways for businesses to pay their expenses.
