OverviewThe Senior Marketing Manager leads strategic marketing efforts across key areas of the Vail Valley Foundation (VVF). This includes overseeing YouthPower365 & ShowDown Town marketing and managing the YouthPower365/VVF Marketing Manager. In addition, this role drives year-round marketing strategy and execution for VVF’s corporate brand and fundraising initiatives. Corporate marketing focuses on building awareness of VVF’s mission and initiatives/projects/venues; while fundraising marketing efforts focus on building campaigns and strategy to support the development team’s fundraising efforts and events across our organizational pillars: arts, athletics, education, and community supports.QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCEBachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or a related field.5+ years of previous marketing experience at a Senior Manager level or above, preferred.Nonprofit marketing experience, preferred.Management experience and strong leadership skills.Ability to create and implement comprehensive marketing plans aligned with organizational goals.Highly organized with keen attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.Highly passionate about assigned projects and campaigns, with an infectious enthusiasm that enhances team collaboration.Advanced writing and editing abilities; proficient in crafting clear, concise, and engaging content.Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to lead groups and present information in a solution driven format.Ability to demonstrate self-direction, tact, diplomacy and a clear, courteous and professional manner.Proficient knowledge of Mailchimp, Google Analytics, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, Social Media Platforms, WordPress, and others.Willingness to work irregular and long hours as needed leading up to and during events.Willingness to work in outdoor conditions with variable weather.Ability to perform physical labor as needed.Other Preferred Skills:HTML knowledge.Video editing experience.SEO expertise.RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise YouthPower365/VVF Marketing Manager.Develop VVF Corporate and fundraising marketing plans, strategies, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with the marketing and philanthropy teams.Work closely with other departments to identify marketing needs to achieve goals. This includes but is not limited to social media, digital advertising, print advertising, email marketing, website management, printed collateral, photo, video, and creative development.Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and streamline workflows for marketing-related efforts.Manage assigned marketing budgets and demonstrate fiscal responsibility.Effectively collaborate with and manage marketing contractors.Proactively track data and analytics to optimize and align with strategic objectives.Research and stay abreast of new marketing trends, platforms and tools.Champion our brands, ensuring consistent messaging and proper brand usage across all departments. Provide guidance and training materials for staff.Oversee creation and supply of VVF’s branded collateral and promotional itemsAssist Senior Director of Marketing with various marketing tasks such as creating and updating board and committee materials.Assist the VVF marketing department across all projects, as time and workload warrant and allow.Assist with VVF admin such as updating company letterheads, creating business cards, envelopes, etc.Assist with marketing platform management.Additional duties as assigned.BENEFITS & COMPENSATIONThis is a salaried, exempt, full time year-round position eligible for all VVF employment benefits.
