OverviewThis position works within the Athletics Department team, and will focus on creation, design & strategy on all visual branding and marketing efforts for UC Santa Barbara Athletics. This position will create design work, and other digital elements as assigned for UCSB Athletics Department. The Digital Elements will prioritize social media and website imagery with a focus on, but not limited to, print collateral, digital advertising and internal and external branding of the Athletics Department. This position will help drive the overall brand and messaging of UC Santa Barbara Athletics. Maintains currency with emerging technological and social media developments, and recommends activities. Works closely with the Marketing and Communications team and program staff. Adhere to the Intercollegiate Athletics design standards when creating content.ResponsibilitiesCreate design work and other digital elements for UCSB Athletics Department in alignment with Intercollegiate Athletics design standards.Prioritize digital elements for social media and website imagery; support print collateral, digital advertising, and internal/external branding of the Athletics Department.Help drive the overall brand and messaging of UC Santa Barbara Athletics.Maintain currency with emerging technological and social media developments and recommend activities.Work closely with the Marketing and Communications team and program staff.QualificationsAA/BA degree in communication, public relations, marketing, graphic design, journalism or related field and two years of relevant marketing/communications experience with social media programs, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Bachelor’s Degree.1-3 years experience creating social media content across channels for an organization, company or institution1-3 years experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, content marketing and blogging #J-18808-Ljbffr
