Job Type:StaffJob Description:The Custodian I performs general cleaning tasks within University buildings.Full Time Position Monday - Friday 4:00AM - 12:30PM.Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Our nationally recognized compensation package features an hourly rate of $18.94 along with a comprehensive benefits program.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Performs cleaning functions including dust, mop, wet mop, vacuum, gathers and disposes trash, washes walls, vents, windows, fixtures, etc.Cleans restrooms using germicide solution for control of bacteria and odors, polishes fixtures, replaces disposables such as toilet tissues, paper towels and fills soap dispensersRepresent department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectationsPerform other duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the organizationQualifications:Must have the ability to read, write, and follow oral instructionsCleaning/custodial experience preferredMust have manual ability to perform general cleaning, which may include moving furnitureRequires frequent bending, stooping, reaching, walking, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.Equal Opportunity EmployerKCU is committed to promoting an equal employment opportunity workplace.
