Job Description

We're a well known gluten free bakery in Philly that specializes in French pastry, breads and cakes. We're one of a handful of GF bakeries in the world that produce gluten free croissants, so if you have dough lamination experience, that would be a huge advantage! We're looking for an experienced pastry cook that can help us pump out a high volume amount of pastry per week. This part time position will mostly be Monday-Thurs from 8:30am- 3:30pm. This position will grow into working Fridays and will become full time in 2026. We are currently located in Manayunk, but will be moving to Bryn Mawr in January, so reliable and easy transportation to both are necessary.  Must know basic kitchen math and understand how to scale recipes by weight. Must know basic mixing methods, how to handle dough, have experience in dough shaping, and finishing pastry. The position also includes a fair amount of packaging, labeling and washing dishes /cleaning up during and after each shift. We're looking for someone with at least 1-3 years of experience in pastry and baking (or straight out of culinary school is ok as well!).
