CWI/NDT Inspector

Job description Fenagh Engineering and Testing is seeking a CWI Inspector with NDT to perform inspections for the shop/field. To include the following: audits, inspecting structural steel fabrication and erection, material identification, welding to include joint fit-up, in-process welding, completed welding, MT & UT as required by code, and high-strength bolting inspections. Ideally this candidate will be an AWS CWI with either their Level I or Level II UT/MT certification from an ASNT Level III. Evaluation from our Level III for both UT (shear wave)/MT will be conducted upon hiring. The position will be supporting clients in the Los Angeles area. ICC / CWI / NDT – MT & UT Level II General Responsibilities: Perform observation and inspection in the shop & field. Collect MTR's for heat numbers and tracking. VT on members in progress. UT CJP's as needed. MT Fillet Welds as needed. High-strength bolting inspections & tests. Compile daily reports outlining inspections and reporting deficiencies (if any). Read and understand specific project plans and specifications. Communicate with project team regarding project requirements and inspection results. Requirements: AWS CWI Certification Level I or Level II UT (Shear wave). Level I or Level II MT. ICC Structural Steel & Bolting. Minimum 5 years of experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. General computer knowledge (Excel, Word, PDF). Able to travel to various locations.
